
Position: Part-Time Teller (10 hours a week)

Reports to: VP and Member Service Executive

PURPOSE
To
serve the members of Virginia Beach Schools Federal Credit Union and/or assist
other employees of VBSFCU in the service of our members when needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Perform routine
member transactions, including but not limited to deposits,
withdrawals, cash advances,
loan payments, transfers and check cashing.
Maintain a cash drawer and balance daily transactions.
2. Provide members with the forms necessary to
transact business at the Credit Union.
3. Cross-sell all services offered by the
credit union.
4. Respond to members' requests, problems and
complaints, and/or direct them to the
proper person
for specific information and assistance.
5. Receive information pertaining to members'
accounts and route to proper
departments.
6. Assist members in opening a new account.
7. Process stop payments on share draft
accounts.
8. Provide members with account status,
including current balances.
9. Become familiar
with and explain member services available at the Credit Union.
10. Answer phones and make necessary
transactions, or direct call to correct
department.
11. File account cards, closed account cards, and
payroll cards.
12. Become thoroughly familiar with teller
procedures and policies.
13. Develop a working knowledge of the credit
union's data processing system.
14. Complete assigned continuing education courses
via method provided by
VBSFCU.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Graduate/ (Senior)
