What’s Happening Now

What’s happening and new with VBSFCU?

We would like to make you aware of a recently announced data breach that affected approximately 850 WAWA stores along the east coast. VBSFCU is taking preventative measures to monitor and re-issue VISA check cards that we believe were included in this breach.

Affected members will receive a letter in the mail from VBSFCU with additional instruction. Only a limited number of VBSFCU members were affected.

Some of you may receive a text ahead of your letter and the new card we are sending. The text is legitimate and is from the Fraud Monitoring Service. It is us asking you to enroll your new card back into the fraud monitoring service. You will only reply YES or STOP.  The text will NOT ask you for any card or personal information.

Also, we would like to reassure you that your information at VBSFCU is safe and secure. We are doing our best to protect you from fraud due to the compromise by reissuing new cards to those identified as being affected.

If you have questions please reach out to us via the secure email in home banking or call during normal business hours. We appreciate your patience as we work hard to protect you.

Phone Updates! Extensions for the Salem branch are new. Please use the employee directory when calling if you need to reach a specific employee.
